cleaning out the "downloads" file

opera

so i can't have chrome on my computer at home because it needs a newer version of the software or some such. but i downloaded opera and it's almost as good and i configured my speed dial on that too and i'll show you the background later. it's more schiele because that's what i like. and i asked for gouache paints from my sister for chanukah.

also i just wanted to give you some more useful things.

1. i downloaded chrome for my work web browser (for some reason i am really committed to using safari at home. why?) and needed a way to organize my most-visited/"favorite" sites -- more functionality than a bookmark bar can provide. i had searched for "tab organizers" there was nothing good. eventually i learned there are extensions for this but they're all called some variation of Speed Dial. so i downloaded speed dial 2 and let me tell you IT IS WONDERFUL.

clouds

as you may know, i love sky phenomena: clouds, lightning, bare branches of trees against the sky, i guess rainbows too.

my coworker artist friend got a grant to go to an art colony in finland for a month! i'm really happy for her. in honor of her i am posting a few photos of clouds in finland. the whole gallery of clouds in finland is from the cloud appreciation society.
